There’s nothing almost nothing better than warm, fresh, homemade burger buns that can be baked ahead to serve at a party with a patty or filling of your choice.

Ingredients

3 1/2 cups  Bread flour or  All-purpose flour

1 cup warm water
7g  sugar

1 teaspoons salt

12g  unsalted  butter

30g  egg
1 tablespoon instant yeast

Method

1. Mix all of the dough ingredients—by hand or bread machine to make a soft, smooth dough.

2. Cover the dough with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 60 minutes or until it’s doubled in bulk.
3. Gently deflate the dough, Shape each piece into a round 1″ thick  then flatten.
4. Place the buns on a lightly greased baking sheet, cover with cloth, and let rise for about 1 hour.

5. Brush buns with  egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

6. Baked for 20 minutes depending on size.
